Does anyone have the installation manual for the Trailer Harness? I installed a trailer hitch and want to install the wiring harness next. Just want to see what I will have to get into.

Nissan should really look into putting more value into their brand and vehicles like this by doing video demonstrations of how to do things like this. If you're on the go, there's nothing better than that.

There is a pdf online. If you search the wiring harness part number you should be able to find the pdf. I can attach it next time im at my computer.

Newbie here. I have a 2014 SL

without

the tow package. I just installed a Curt hitch from etrailer.com - http://www.etrailer.com/p-C13126.html (easy install and it looks nice).

I see the instructions in this thread for the factory wiring harness. It appears to contain required relays (see photo). My bumper does not have the notch cut out for the 7 pin socket that comes with the factory kit (http://www.quirkparts.com/oe-nissan/999t8xz000).

My questions are:

1. Is there a less expensive option? I don't want to tow an RV, just want to be ready to tow a small trailer when needed.

2. Will one of these type sockets that come with a nice bracket work or am I am way off ? http://www.autoanything.com/hitch-bed-accessories/65A6201A0A0.aspx

Thanks in advance for any help. If anyone would like to see a photo of the Curt Hitch installed, just let me know.

From what I've seen so far, you guys are very knowledgeable. I have recently purchased a 2015 Pathfinder (Base Model), that did not come with the towing package. I purchased a trailer hitch and wiring harness online, installed the hitch, which was not a problem. I then installed the rear 7 pin wiring harness without a problem. Here's the problem, after removing the right side foot panel cover, and looking for 45 minutes for the 12 pin connector for the wiring harness with relays to plug into, it's not there. I contacted the hitch manufacturer, (Curtis Mfg), and from what I was told, what I ordered, and what I received online, were two different things. I wasvtold that I had received the wiring harness for a 2012 Pathfinder. And to make matters worse, Curtis doesn't even manufacture a wiring harness for the 2015 Pathfinder, nor do they know how to hook it up. I saw where someone on this forum posted a download for a 2013 Pathfinder wiring install, and was wondering if someone might help me. I am not very computer literate either, however I did download the 2013 installation instructions but got as far as the first instructions and wham! My 2015 doesn't have a keyswitch! Oh well, I really need to get my trailer lights working. I pull a small bass boat, and so far, have been pulling it with only flashlights duct taped to the boat with red handkerchiefs wrapped around them. Please help.
